An ISP CEO built MapItRight to give fiber operators the tools they deserve.
Glenn Wilson led an ISP before he founded Custom Software, Inc. in Rose City, Michigan. He spent years thinking about what operators truly need — then built MapItRight: clear maps, smooth field workflows, and software priced for the teams building America's fiber networks.
Glenn did not set out to start a software company. He set out to fix the problems he kept running into as an operator — messy records, slow maps, tools priced for someone else’s budget, and too much distance between the office and the field.
That is still the heart of MapItRight. We listen, we think it through, and we build for regional ISPs, electric co-ops, municipal programs, and the engineering firms that support them — people who need software that works in the real world, not just in a demo.
Warm people. Clear thinking. Software that helps.
Every product decision comes back to one question: does this make life easier for the people building and running fiber networks?
Born from operator life
Our founder ran an ISP. MapItRight exists because he lived the spreadsheets, the grant deadlines, and the late-night calls when the map did not match what was in the ground.
Think deeply, ship simply
Glenn still spends a lot of time thinking about what ISPs actually need — not what looks good in a slide deck. Then we build the version that crews and office staff can use every day.
Fiber the way you work
Strands, splices, splitters, drops — modeled the way your team already talks about the network. No bending a generic GIS into something it was never meant to be.
People you can reach
We publish pricing, answer questions honestly, and stay close to customers. When something is hard, we would rather help you through it than hide behind a sales gate.
A small team with deep roots in fiber.
Glenn brings the operator perspective. Jack brings the engineering. Together they keep MapItRight focused on problems worth solving.
Glenn ran an ISP before he built MapItRight. He still thinks like an operator — because that is who we build for.
Jack turns Glenn's operator insights into software that holds up in the field — maps, mobile, imports, and the API your stack can actually use.
We would love to show you what we have been building.
Whether you are planning a new build, cleaning up old records, or just comparing options — we are happy to talk.
